Features
Forelimb feathers, Long tail.
Velociraptor mongoliensis was a theropod from Mongolia. An AMNH article reports feather-attachment knobs on the forearm bone of a Velociraptor fossil found in Mongolia. This evidence is distinguished from reconstructions of feather distribution, colour and pattern over the whole body.
Scientific uncertainty
Forearm quill knobs provide evidence of feathers, but whole-body feather distribution, including tail feathers, colour and pattern remain uncertain.
