Features
Head, Short forelimbs.
Tyrannosaurus rex was a large carnivorous dinosaur from North America. Its long tail, head and forelimbs are distinctive features. Length and mass estimates depend on the specimen and method.
Scientific uncertainty
Estimated adult mass must be distinguished from estimates for the largest specimens. Reconstructions of body covering, colour, the degree of tooth exposure and lip-like tissues include uncertainty.
