Features
Bony armour, Tail club.
Ankylosaurus magniventris is characterised by bony armour and a club at the end of its tail. Armour arrangement and whole-body dimensions are treated with reconstruction uncertainty.
Scientific uncertainty
Armour arrangement and whole-body reconstruction remain uncertain. The arrangement of tall armour projections and raised tail-club pose in the illustration are not presented as the established appearance of a particular specimen or its habitual posture. Colour, soft tissues and posture in the reconstruction include inference.
