Features
It had a parrot-like beak.
Psittacosaurus mongoliensis was a ceratopsian from Early Cretaceous Asia. It had a parrot-like beak.
Scientific uncertainty
It is uncertain whether coloration and tail structures known from other Psittacosaurus specimens also applied to this species. The bristle-like structures along the illustrated tail dorsum are explanatory reconstruction informed by SMF R4970 (Psittacosaurus sp.), not a form directly confirmed by fossils of this species. Colour, soft tissues and posture in the reconstruction include inference.
